ACRYLDEKOR acrylic mosaic paint

AKRILDEKOR is an acrylic interior wall paint ensuring a typical decorative effect as well as a perfect hygienic integrity and high protection against wear and tear to painted surfaces. This paint is sprayed onto fine polished substrates painted with JUPOL GOLD. It has no distinctive odour and does not contain health hazardous and ecologically harmful ingredients. Treated surfaces are washable and provide a typical polychromatic appearance. It is recommended for decorative protection of heavily exposed wall surfaces (halls, staircases, classrooms, playrooms, waiting rooms, and similar) in hospitals, schools, kindergartens and other public as well as residential buildings.

a) preparation of the substrate:

Level the surface with JUBOLIN, JUBOLIN P-25, NIVELIN or any other similar levelling compound.

Coat the levelled surface twice with JUPOL GOLD. It is recommended to apply it by spraying.

b) application of AKRILDEKOR

Spray AKRILDEKOR onto a completely dry basic paint application using a traditional spray gun with “external mixing of air”. Diameter of spraying nozzle should be 2.5 mm and air pressure approximately 3 bars. Hold the spraying gun perpendicularly to the surface maintaining the distance of 30 to 45 cm. Spray in cross-wise or overlapping circular motion to cover the surface as evenly and equally as possible. A wet application appears muddy or milky, therefore, eventual irregularities in thickness are not noticed until the foundation of AKRILDEKOR becomes transparent (irregularities appear in the form or lighter or darker spots). Unfortunately, it is impossible to repair the treated surface afterwards, therefore, skills necessary to spray such a specific paint application onto a wall can be achieved only by persevering practice.

colour effect depends on the applied quantity of AKRILDEKOR, and the consumption depends on it as well: the colour chart presents the application with the consumption of around 250 ml/m² ensuring that the surface is highly washable under EN 13300 (class 1).
