Mending, levelling and smoothing of wall and ceiling surfaces
Levelling of wall and ceiling surfaces if thickness of the levelling coat does not exceed 5 mm
Unplastered concrete ceiling surfaces, which are too rough for fine polishing, and also rougher and not as level plastered wall and ceiling surfaces can be levelled with one coat of NIVELIN D. It can be easily applied also in a coat up to 5 mm thick. It shrinks extremely little while drying and is distinguished by low elastic module and relatively high water repellence. Surfaces levelled with NIVELIN D can be painted with any of interior dispersion wall paints.

First, clean the substrate of loose and badly-adhered particles and then apply
NIVELIN D. Do not apply any of primers prior to the application of
NIVELIN D. Apply only one coat of levelling compound in
thickness of ~1.5 to 5 mm either manually – using a stainless steel smoothing trowel – or by machine – by spraying. Regardless of the manner of application, remove excess compound from the treated surface using a stainless steel smoothing trowel, while trying to level the surface as much as possible. Moisten the surface of the application approximately 10 to 20 minutes after the application (it can be done sooner or later depending on the microclimatic conditions and absorbency of the substrate, but no sooner than when the compound begins to harden) and smooth it with circular movements using a smoothing trowel made of expanded polystyrene, wood or plastic. If necessary, additionally sand the dry application using fine sandpaper after 2 to 5 days. The wet smoothing phase can be left out and entirely replaced by dry sanding, which is performed manually or by machine.
for ~ 1 mm thick application on m
2 of the surface, you will need ~1.5 kilo of
