Polishing of wall and ceiling surfaces
Polishing of unplastered concrete surfaces
A badly installed surface and a surface with holes or damages caused by rusting of reinforcement that has not been placed deep enough provide mainly unaesthetical appearance to unplastered concrete surfaces. Such surfaces are also relatively difficult to clean and maintain. Solution to this problem is polishing with a suitable levelling compound. If defects and damages are small and scarce, repairing is performed locally, otherwise additionally smooth the entire concrete surface. In both cases, apply levelling compound JUBOLIN (manual application) or JUBOLIN P-25 (machine or manual application).
Remove all loose and badly adhered particles, remains of panelling oils and other dirt from concrete surface (the best way to do it is to wash it), clean rust from the “uncovered” reinforcement and protect it with suitable coatings against further rusting. Then, coat the concrete surface with diluted ACRYL EMULSION (ACRYL EMULSION : water = 1 : 1). Levelling compound is applied onto a dry primer (manual application: JUBOLIN or JUBOLIN P-25; machine application: JUBOLIN P-25), usually in two, but if necessary, in more coats in thickness of 1 to 2 mm. Sand the completely dry final coat (if necessary, lower ones as well) manually or by a machine.
to polish a m2 of medium rough surface, you will need ~1.5 to 2 kilos of levelling compound JUBOLIN (manual application) or the levelling compound JUBOLIN P-25 (machine or manual application) and ~0.1 kilo of AKRIL EMULSION for the preparation of the substrate
