Improving water repellence of decorative renders and colour coats

Hydrophobing of water-absorbing surfaces

To hydrophob a surface, apply a colourless silicone agent JUBOSIL H. It absorbs into the façade surface well, but does not reduce its water-vapour permeability, and does not change its colour or changes it minimally.

Coat, pour or spray JUBOSIL H onto façade surfaces so that they wet in the form of a ~40 cm tall »curtain« under the place where the hydrophobic agent has been applied. A two-coat application is recommended; apply the second coat before the first one dries.     

To treat a m2 of a façade surface, you will need ~200 to 1000 ml of (depending on the absorption and roughness of the facade surface) JUBOSIL H.
