Improving water repellence of decorative renders and colour coats
Less water-repellent mineral (lime, lime-cement, silicate) decorative or final renders and low water-repellent colour applications (lime and silicate façade paints) represent a rather weak and non-durable protection for façade surfaces exposed to precipitation. Protection of such surfaces can be improved substantially by hydrophobing a week to 10 days after painting or after application of the final or decorative render.
