Rolled decorative renders

VALIPLAST

  • typical rustic appearance
  • rather limited selection of pastel colour shades
  • supplied in paste-like form, ready for application
  • possible to apply onto all types of fine plastered substrates including façade thermal insulating systems on a lining made of expanded polystyrene
  • due to its worse water-vapour permeability, it is impossible to be used as protection of thermal insulating renders and in façade thermal insulating systems, where insulating lining is made of mineral wool
  • high water repellence, but it is still recommended only for buildings up to two floors high having projecting roofs of proper width
Coat the substrate with diluted ACRYCOLOR (the shade should be as close to the colour of the render as possible; ACRYCOLOR : water = 1 : 1) or diluted ACRYL EMULSION (ACRYL EMULSION : water = 1 : 1) or UNIGRUND (the shade should be as close to the colour of the render as possible). Apply mortar compound with a stainless steel smoothing trowel in thickness of 1 to 3 mm onto a dry pre-primer. The choice of coat thickness depends on how thick you wish your structure to be: thicker coats result in rougher surfaces and thinner ones in less rough surfaces. Immediately after the application, roll the surface with a foam painting roller; it can also be treated with a painting trowel, a smoothing trowel, a sponge, a brush, a rubber relief roller and other utensils.

The joining of surfaces in corner edges is facilitated by installing finely smoothed stripes which have got a width of only a few centimetres. Such stripes are recommended also when dividing big façade boards to several smaller ones to avoid any trouble at application of the render and unaesthetic appearance due to a surface, which may not be even enough, and, at the same time, by applying the stripes interesting decorative effects can be achieved.

To process a m2 of the surface, you will need ~1 to 2 kg of VALIPLAST
depending on thickness and desired structure of the application (in case of a concretely chosen structure, define the use on a test surface of appropriate size in the building!), and ~70 ml of ACRYLCOLOR or ~100 g of AKRIL EMULSION
or ~150 do 200 g of UNIGRUND for a primer.
